Answers
I made the menubar go away, how do I get it back?
In the default user interface, just hit CTRL-M.
I upgraded my mandrake packages and now Noatun won't start
Mandrake kinda packaged KDE screwely: `rpm -e arts` and reinstall kdelibs and kdemultimedia
How can I use other audio apps with arts running?
Run it through artsdsp: `artsdsp nameofapp`
Why can't I play anything but WAV files? I use Debian.
Install mpeglib and the corresponding mpeglib_artsplug, it's part of the kdemultimedia-package.
What kind of files can Noatun play?
Either nothing, since aRts does the decoding, or everything, whatever you have a codec for.
What about DivX?
If aRts has a decoder installed for DivX then it will be playable in Noatun. http://mpeglib.sourceforge.net. Download the opendivx plugin.
What about skins?
Go into the Preferences window and you can set your UI plugin. Both Winamp and KJöfol skins are supported in KDE 3.
What about shoutcast and icecast?
Since KDE 3 these streaming-formats are supported.
How do I hide (or show) the main window?
Try the systray icon (it's the gray icon near the clock). Click on it.
Noatun doesn't work on SuSE 7.3
SuSE decided to break the Noatun .desktop file. Edit /opt/kde/share/applnk/Multimedia/noatun.desktop, change the Exec line to: /opt/kde3/bin/noatun %i %m -caption "%c" %U
